Just take a look at LHC in Switzerland... They thought the Earth was gonna implose... I'm glad too see I'm not mad for having such an opinion about those people. People simply forgets how useful it is. Worth, there is a growing movement of people rejecting science (creationism?). They do think it's just a _belief_ like any others. To me it's worth than just pretending maths are useless. After all, not everyone is supposed to have studied enough maths at school to be able to understand what they imply. Maths are everywhere. Moreover, many of great researchers in here seems to prefer working in US or Canada rather than in France, for all the reasons we already know... One sure thing is that France is going to have less and less researchers in science (except in Medecine maybe...). I'm not sure the government still can do something to save this situation... Indeed…

Without maths (and science), we will loose the edge. It has already begun with all brains prefering finance/marketing/... than science.
